This is the first time I ever saw the entire Walt Disney World Resort by air -- or, at least, the first time I knew it was Walt Disney World. Perfect skies helped and since the plane is headed south, we traveled along the entire Resort from North to South to make our landing at MCO by approaching it from the South.

Primarily a business trip, but I took my camcorder along.

Highlights: Diamond Head viewed from the airport, my hotel, Waikiki Beach and the air. Waikiki Beach sunset, surfers and a bit of the Royal Hawaiian and Sheraton Waikiki (where the Brady Bunch stayed on their show and where I stayed in 1978). Pearl Harbor and the Arizona Memorial. The King Kamehameha statue and the gates of the Iolani Palace.

Since TED is being phased out, my TED flight is a United 777!
Of course, by the time I walked to the gate, I got an email that the flight is delayed almost an hour....
Scheduled For "On-Time Departure"
| United's EasyUpdate has sent me 4 messages so far today in this order: Flight Delayed, Flight Delayed more, Flight Rescheduled earlier than originally scheduled, Flight Scheduled for On-Time Departure. Right now, it's scheduled "On-Time". I guess I'll be checking out of the hotel shortly and then checking out Continental's President's Club given the new arrangement with United's Red Carpet Club. |
