July 4th Fireworks 2015: Just outside Magic Kingdom

Now that I'm a neighbor, I can shoot video of the fireworks without holding a spot and fighting a crowd.  The video here is the entire show, sped up to fit the length of Sousa's Liberty Bell March (a nice, patriotic piece of public domain music).

About 10:15 a.m. this morning, while walking from Disney's BoardWalk to Disney's Hollywood Studios, I saw this strange "memorial" on the side of the canal.

This is the first time I ever saw the entire Walt Disney World Resort by air -- or, at least, the first time I knew it was Walt Disney World.  Perfect skies helped and since the plane is headed south, we traveled along the entire Resort from North to South to make our landing at MCO by approaching it from the South.

I've digitized more of my video from my trip to The Disney Institute at Walt Disney World in November 1996.

I think our guide for the Disney Architecture class was none other than Disney historian Jim Korkis.  This is a freeze frame in front of the Team Disney Building.
